While Ixtapa enjoys a bustling commercial scene, upscale shopping, and a gorgeous marina, the calmer Zihuatanejo brings an authentic, small-town charm with exquisite cuisine. Though both have their distinct atmospheres, each has easy access to the glittering Pacific Ocean, offering the chance for aquatic activities such as surfing, parasailing, and snorkeling.

HOW TO GET TO IXTAPA ZIHUATANEJO?

Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport is just under 18km from Ixtapa’s city center. It takes around 25 minutes in a car.

ARE IXTAPA AND ZIHUATANEJO CLOSE?

Traveling between Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo is extremely easy by car. The two cities lie around 8km from each other which can take around 10 minutes.
