THE SITE
Nestled amid the glistening Pacific Ocean and a world-class golf course, Villa Vatulé is an exceptional warm-weather escape. This Mexico villa, located in La Punta Estates in Punta Mita, is named for the owners’ three children—Valen, Tulah and Leighton. The gated La Punta (the point) neighborhood is south of the prestigious St. Regis and Four Seasons resorts. This stunning 10,000-square-foot luxury accommodation is fully staffed and has five suites. Grab a cerveza and relax on one of the expansive sea-facing terraces. Towering palm trees and a span of lawn give way to views of mesmerizing sunsets and, if you’re lucky, a passing whale.

 

THE SPACE
The refined interiors of Villa Vatulé are effortlessly elegant with an open and airy layout. The architecture has traditional Mexican elements, and inside you’ll find contemporary and expertly appointed spaces. The color palette is drawn from the natural beauty of the surrounding sky, sand and vegetation. A thatched pavilion houses indoor/outdoor living rooms where furniture is upholstered in creamy white cottons and linen. The communal living spaces feature an open-plan and high ceilings, and rooms are poised to take in the splendor of the Pacific Ocean through walls of windows. A chef’s kitchen ups the wow factor of this beach villa with gorgeous marble, a black hood with gold trim and Talavera floor tiles. Villa Vatulé is ideal for entertaining as it features two living rooms and two indoor dining rooms. The main dining area seats 20 guests at two side-by-side tables where dramatic cascading chandeliers dangle from the ceiling.

 

SLEEPING ROOMS
The luxury villa’s seven bedrooms are contemporary and timeless, each a private retreat. The five master suites have private entrances and private terraces with ocean views. The king-sized beds are dressed in Italian linens. All the suites have ensuite bathrooms with double vanities, and three feature both indoor and outdoor showers and stand-alone tubs. A children’s bunk house sleeps 12 and has its own media room and a spacious rooftop terrace with panoramic views. An unoccupied staff house with a queen bed and queen sleeper sofa is available on request.

 

SURROUNDINGS
There’s a seamless flow from inside to outside thanks to large glass doors and windows, and the outdoor areas are a fundamental part of this beach villa. A spacious patio with lounge chairs has a 72-foot infinity pool and a jacuzzi. At sunset have a cocktail under the stars around the firepit. Spend your evenings in the shaded outdoor living/dining area, which includes a wet bar and BBQ, in addition to a table that seats 14 people. For breathtaking views of the sunset and islands, two separate rooftop terraces have comfy seating. The lawn area makes a fun spot for soccer, badminton, corn hole, bocci ball and other games.

 

SERVICES
This luxury villa’s five-star service will make you feel like you are at an upscale resort. Your stay includes the service of a daily housekeeper, cook for breakfast and chef for dinner (additional cost for food). The friendly concierge is happy to arrange airport transfers, activities and spa appointments. Guests have access to the amenities of the St. Regis Resort, two Jack Nicklaus golf courses, tennis club, fitness center, the Pacifico and Kupuri Beach Clubs. Hop on one of the villa’s many bikes and cruise the neighborhood, or take a 10-minute golf cart ride to the restaurants and shops of Punta Mita.
