THE PLACE
This Puerto Vallarta villa is blessed with an unbeatable location in a coveted neighborhood in Upper Conchas Chinas, just outside downtown. Between the mountainous jungle of the Sierra Madre and the glistening water of the Pacific Ocean, this Mexico accommodation is a relaxing retreat with postcard-views over leafy hillsides. You’ll feel like you are living in a traditional Mexican hacienda, but with modern comforts. A short walk takes you to the beach on the Bay of Banderas, and the Romantic Zone of downtown Puerto Vallarta is a five-minute ride away. With a well-seasoned staff and nine bedrooms, this beach villa is ideal for reunions with family and friends.

 

THE SPACE
When you enter this luxury villa through its towering arched doors, you’ll sense a vibe of old-world charm and approachable design. Villa Mystique is a spacious accommodation with many areas to gather, yet it manages to feel cozy at the same time. You’ll notice elements of traditional Mexican architecture, like arched doorways, wrought iron and terracotta floor tiles. The grand living room is large and airy with double-story ceilings graced with rustic wood beams. A staircase, adorned with hand-painted tile and wrought-iron balustrade, leads to a balcony which overlooks the living area. Ornately carved mirrors don the walls of this common space where you can relax on the perfectly poised sofa to watch the sunset. The expansive living room is even more impressive when the windows and doors open completely to the outdoor living areas and the pool. Open air on one side, the large kitchen features granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, and sizable breakfast island.

 

SLEEPING ROOMS
This beach villa has room for everyone! Each of the nine bedrooms has a private bathroom and either a king- or queen-sized bed. The interior design skillfully marries style with comfort. Tailored bed linens, carved wood furniture and iron accents dress up the spaces while air conditioning and ceiling fans enhance your comfort. Four of the suites have private terraces, and five others have glass doors that open to the pool area. All have incredible ocean views. Two of the suites stand out with ornate iron-four poster beds and soaring brick cupolas. The ensuite bathrooms feature vaulted ceilings with wood beams, stone countertops and showers.

 

SURROUNDINGS
The only issue you might face at Villa Mystique is deciding where to have a glass of wine and watch the sun slip over the ocean. Each of the three levels has terraces furnished with tables, umbrellas and chairs. On the main level, a heated infinity pool seems to hang over the jungle-fill hillside. Enjoy Margaritas and freshly made guacamole and salsa while you take in surreal views over dense jungle to the Pacific Ocean and coastline beyond. One of the multiple outdoor tables seats 10 guests for chef-prepared meals under the stars. In addition to gathering spots for larger groups, Villa Mystique also has many intimate seating nooks to tuck away with a book or play cards.

 

AMENITIES
The warm and welcoming staff will exceed your expectations. In fact, one guest said he’d go back just for the staff alone! Staying at Villa Mystique is a true vacation from chores. Daily housekeeping diligently keeps the villa clean and tidy, making the beds and cleaning your bathroom every day. An excellent cook prepares two meals a day (additional cost for food and drinks). Nothing beats waking up to the aroma of coffee and bacon. The gracious house manager helps you coordinate activities, reservations and excursions if you can tear yourself away from Villa Mystique.
