THE PLACE
Located 30 minutes south of Puerto Escondido airport (PXM), this oceanfront villa is in a prime spot for enjoying Oaxaca´s wild beaches, famous surf, and sunshine. The luxury villa boasts striking contemporary architecture on its own plot right by the beach, framed by beautiful nopal cacti and palm trees. Named after the process of rebirth in the Oaxacan Mixtecan dialect, Casa Niku invites guests to step out of routine on their Mexico vacation and make a personal reconnection.

 

THE SPACE
This gorgeous private home is a juxtaposition of open spaces, airy interiors, modern art, and a play of light and shadows. Embraced by verdant flora and leafy plants, the villa features a pristine pool patio with steps down to the garden and straight onto the beach. You´ll be spoilt for choice with plenty of comfy spots to unwind, from the al fresco lounge with a swinging bench and chunky day beds, to the interior corner lounge with a plunge pool. Climbing plants cascade between floors above a long dining table and breakfast bar, perfect for lazy brunches and casual dinners. Neutral colors and natural materials reflect the surroundings, with pops of colors added through textiles.

 

SLEEPING ROOMS
Niku House sleeps up to twelve guests in five beachfront, ocean view suites that continue the villa´s sense of calm sanctuary. The main suite has a king bed and private plunge pool, while the other four bedrooms count with two queen beds. All the sleeping rooms have ensuite bathrooms and count with a private terrace, some with sliding glass doors that span two lengths of wall. Tasteful décor is unique to each room and just enough, with stylish furniture, lighting, and throws.

 

SURROUNDINGS
Enjoy the beauty of the Oaxacan coast and privileged position on Playa Plataforma, a favorite beach amongst local surfers. The restaurants, shops, and nightlife of La Punta are a 20-minute drive, while the charming beaches of Mazunte and Zipolite are 45-minutes away, not to be missed. Huatulco airport (HUX) sits one hour down the coast, offering another connecting flight option.

 

AMENITIES
Niku House comes with the assistance of daily housekeeping, a locally available concierge, a daily pool attendant, daily cook, bartender, and overnight house watchman. Massage therapies, yoga sessions, horseback riding and surfing can be arranged for an additional cost.
