Imposing wooden doors open to the main living area that sits under a giant round palapa roof, creating a high ceiling and expansive living room. Much of the area is open to the tropical breezes, and the decor is both contemporary and warm. The rich wood throughout the space offsets the coolness of the marble floors. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area are found just off the living room. Sleeping up to eight guests, the four bedrooms (one attic bedroom with ladder access) and 3.5 bathrooms are uncluttered and light with Mexican furniture and accents. Spacious terraces extend the bedrooms and other living spaces to the gardens and pool areas. Powered by sun, wind and an ultra-silent backup generator, Casa Nalum is an auto sufficient, zero-carbon property.
