The combined living, dining, and kitchen area on the ground floor create a modern-loft feel with concrete walls, wide-open space, and minimalist furniture (with a rustic twist). Unique furnishings include the owner’s own artwork, gorgeous textiles, and Indian wall-hangings. From every spot in this airy space, you’ll catch views of the Caribbean Sea through floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows. A fluid transition takes leads to the wood terrace where a long dining table is a magical place to dine poolside as you listen to waves crashing on the beach.

In the main villa on the upper floor, two enchanting master bedrooms have private bathrooms and a large adjoining terrace overlooking the sea–an ideal place to settle in with a cup of coffee in the morning. You’ll find an art studio with a private bathroom (sleeps one guest) on this level, and through the courtyard and beyond a water feature, a family room and bunk bedroom. Both have separate entrances with a connecting bathroom which features exquisite, handcrafted Mexican tile. These quiet rooms are ideal for sneaking away with a book or taking a siesta. Yet another sleeping option is the casita which enjoys private access. Separate from the main house, this spacious casita is complete with kitchen, master bedroom, and bathroom.

The shared spaces in this villa encourage conversation and relaxation, and the views out beyond the pool to the sparkling turquoise sea are breathtaking. Spend your days on a lounge bed by the pool or sip a Piña Colada in one of the hammocks stretched between tall palm trees. Explore life under the sea by grabbing snorkeling equipment and swim, paddle or kayak to the nearby Mesoamerican Reef about a mile from shore. A short ten-minute drive takes you to the charming town of Tulum where restaurants, shops, and beach clubs await you. Don’t miss the magnificent Mayan remains on the coast of Tulum, and a bit farther, the archaeological sites of Cobá and Chichén Itzá.
