This newly designed oceanfront villa is a contemporary home-away-from-home, a sunlit and airy accommodation furnished in a minimal style. The elegantly restrained interiors were designed by Mauricio Lobeira, known internationally for skillfully merging timeless sophistication with modern sensibilities. Within the exclusive Porta Fortuna development in the Punta Mita, this luxury villa has a private, gated entrance. Whether you want to golf, hike or lie on the beach, this villa is located on the sparkling Pacific Ocean and close to the Sierra Madre mountains, making it the perfect base for relaxation and adventure. THE SPACE
Each element in the interior design deserves a closer look, from a TV stand created from curly bleached driftwood to the slatted wood ceiling, which invites sunlight to bathe the space. With wall-to-wall glass doors the sea-facing side of the beach villa has an open-plan room, which includes the kitchen, dining and sitting area. Textures and organic materials, rather than color, compel the eye toward the nuanced details of the décor. Minimalist in style, the bright kitchen has all the conveniences a chef needs, including stainless steel, high-end appliances, an espresso machine and an ice machine. A grand woven dome pendant is suspended over the long dining table where your group can gather for a chef-prepared meal. A second, more cozy living room has soft cream-colored sofas for gathering for Margaritas or relaxing to watch TV at the end of the day.

 

SLEEPING ROOMS
Uncomplicated yet sophisticated, the suites have a less-is-more vibe. The tailored spaces feature white walls, large glass doors and rich wood accents. Plush beds are dressed in fresh white linens, and occasional pops of color against stark white walls wake up your senses. Windows and doors open to palm trees and blue sky. There are five bedrooms, and each has AC, a safe and TV. Two king suites have lovely patios, one with direct access to the pool area. One room has two full and two twin beds; another has two queen beds; and the bunk room is a dream for a gaggle of kids. The clean-lined bathrooms are spa-like with plenty of space to spread out; each has a stand-alone rain shower and dual vanity.

 

SURROUNDINGS
A full wall of windows in the living room opens to an outdoor lounge area outfitted with furniture for lounging and dining. The heated private pool is the perfect size for an afternoon swim, and you’ll find sun loungers, including a cocoon-like woven sun bed, next to the pool. A sizable stretch of lush lawn gives children even more space to play. Host a balmy, alfresco soiree at the table for 10 next to the outdoor kitchen. You’ll have everything you need: a grill, Big Green Egg oven, and a wet bar with an ice machine and a mini fridge. After your meal, slip into the Jacuzzi with a glass of wine to witness an unbelievable sunset.

 

AMENITIES
Daily housekeeping will keep the luxury villa fresh and tidy, and a chef will prepare meals (additional cost of food). Your stay includes access to the Residents Beach Club, Porta Fortuna Beach Club and Kupuri Beach Club. Two 6-passenger golf carts are provided and make it easy to get around the area. The concierge is available during your stay to arrange airport transportation, restaurant reservations, in-villa spa treatments, excursions, babysitting and more.
